Young woman in the mirror-
Painting up your face-
Do you know your creator?
That He is perfect in every way?

Mistakes He does not make-
Nor does His creation contain flaws
Improving on His beauty-
Isn't possible- not at all!

Are you trying to attract a man?
And if you do, will he stay?
Once he sees the real you
Behind the mask you made?

Does it represent a meek spirit
Or "Holiness Unto the Lord"
Are you putting on a false face?
What will be your reward?

( This is my meditation after seeing two naturally besutiful young teens in a restroom putting on makeup)

These are the only verses I can find specifically about make up in the Bible:

II Kings 9:30
And when Jehu was come to JezreelJezebel heard of it; and she painted  her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window

Jer 4:30
And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vainshalt thou make thyself fairthy lovers will despisethee, they will seekthy life

Ez 23:40
And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messengerwas sent; and, lo, they came: for whom thou didst washthyself, paintedst thy eyes, and deckedstthyself with ornaments

Plus this NT verse:
I Peter 3:3-4
Whose adorning let it not be that outwardadorning of plaitingthe hair, and of wearing of gold, orof putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price

Her virtue, her modesty,
and natural beauty were sufficient:

She needed nothing more:

As the girls around her
Painted their faces and
Jeweled their bodies:

She was satisfied before the Lord

Esther 2:15
Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihailthe uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was cometo go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the womenappointed. And Esther obtainedfavour in the sight of all them that lookedupon her.

"Let us build with you,"
For your God we do seek,
The adversaries of God's people,
Began to make their hands weak...

They troubled them in building,
Hired counsellors to frustrate them,
Then a letter to the King,
Cause the building to come to an end.

Then God rose up two prophets,
And the people began to build,
Their enemies notified the king,
But this was all God's will

Not only did King Darius support them,
But he advised their enemies to do the same,
If anyone goes against the building,
The gallows will hold his way

I Peter 3:12-13
For the eyesof the Lord are overthe righteousand his ears are open unto their prayersbut the face of the Lord is against them that do evil
And who is he that will harm youifye be followers of that which is good

Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this

Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the eldersof the Jews build this house of God in his place
Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do tothe elders of these Jews for the buildingof this house of God: that of the king’s goodseven of the tribute beyond the riverforthwith expenses be givenunto these men, that they be not hindered

Then the peopleof the land weakened the hands of the peopleof Judah, and troubled them in building
And hired counsellors against them, to frustratetheir purpose, all the days of Cyrus kingof Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia

Then they cameto Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and saidunto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither
