They have moved the old landmarks, (Proverbs 23:10)
The gates are wasted from the fire, (Nehemiah 1:3)
Theres no protection for the children,
Parents' feet stuck fast  in the mire

Flesh has become their arm, (Jeremiah 17:5)
Instead of seeking God for His will, (Romans 12:2)
They have lost their identity, (Genesis 1:27)
They were just too busy to wait and be still (Psalms 27:14)

The story repeats o'er and o'er,
The outcome just the same,
We need to be repairers of the breach, (Isaiah 58:12)
Glorifying His Holy Name!

The prince and power of the air, (Ephesians 2:2)
Cries out to satisfy,
All of your fleshly needs (I Peter 2:11)
All that you desire.

Seek those things that are real, (Matthew 6:20)
Things that never change,
Love, mercy, long suffering and truth
Through the sunshine and the rain.

Proverbs 23:10
Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

I Peter 2:11
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Matthew 6:20
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Isaiah 58:12
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

He took out of the temple
The silver and the gold
He sent it to the king of Syria
Protection was what was sold

He could have sought the Lord
To protect and keep him safe
He trusted in his riches
What a big mistake!

The eyes of the Lord running to and fro
Throughout the whole earth
Looking for perfect hearts
And those that have true worth

If war is coming to you
And you know not what to do
Take the helmet of salvation
And the armor tried and true

Praying always, without ceasing
Upon your knees do stay
Our Lord is strong and mighty
He will move the enemy away!

Turn you to the strong hold,
ye prisoners of hope, (Zechariah 9:12)
Get ye out of the darkness,
In the noon day, no longer grope (Job 5:14

The idols have spoken vanity,
All lies and false dreams, (Zechariah 10:2)
They'll all end up in the pit, (Matthew 15:14)

Look not behind thee
Escape for your life
The angels grabbed a hold of them
Lot, his daughters and his wife

They couldn't climb the mountains
That were up ahead
They begged for refuge in a city
The angels allowed them

But when the fire and brimstone fell
And the cities were brought to naught
Lot's wife had to turn around
Then she turned into a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19)

We must reach forward to apprehend
When we find ourselves in the dark
Not looking or turning back
Pressing towards the high mark
( Phillipians 3:13)

If the mountains seem too tall
Or the race seems hard to run
We must equip ourselves with patience
And keep our focus on the Son

What's with that thing on your head?

That was the awkward question an employee at the place where I get my van serviced  asked me today.  I actually dont get many questions, so it caught me a little off guard.  I told him about what Paul said in I Corinthians.  The thing most people don't realize it that most of our great grandmothers all wore head coverings.  If you go back a hundred years, you will also find surprisingly that women also covered their bodies.  Men still generally make it a point to uncover their heads as they enter a church

Prophecy fulfilled. I kings 13 and II kings 22

He found the book of the law
It told him what he would do
He set to work right away
He made it all come true

He had the law read aloud
To the  people young and old
They discovered their fathers sins
They decided to be bold

They would not continue in their sins
Would stop, cry out, repent
They removed the idols from the land
This was why King Josiah had been sent

To make The temple clean
Baal's stuff all up in flames
Idol alters broken down
The idol priests slain

Have you cleaned your house yet?
And Fulfilled the prophesy
Come out from among her?
Touch not the unclean thing?

Will you stand against the idols
And The sins of those before you
Immerse yourself in the Word
Let the power of God shine through

On a steep ravine
Getting closer to the fire
Clinging flat to the rock
Not falling is the desire

A close grip on the rock
Makes the climb more sure
The light is so powerful
Gives the strength to endure

Others there along the way
Are there to help the weak (Gal.6:2)
The young are holding fast the rock
They can almost see the peak

Remove the thorns along the way
So no distractions choke (Matt. 13:32)
A clear path is easier
When traveling through smoke

Our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29)
He that cometh to God must believe (Hebrews 11:6)
After ye have done the will of God,
The promise you'll receive! (Hebrews 10:36)

The lust of The flesh
The lust of the eyes
Lord, take these away
And spare me from pride (I John 2:16)

The one thing I know
That I don't want to be
Someone higher than thou
-like that Pharisee (Luke 18:9 )
Who thought himself righteous
And better than others (Luke 18:11-12)
Lord let me live
A life that is humble.  ( Prov.22:4)

It is so easy to be tricked
When you think your living right
I desire a pure heart (Psalms 24:4)
and all of God's might

O God, strengthen my hands (Nehemiah 6:9)
Keep my eyes upon thee (Psalms 25:15)
Help me  resist the evil
Cause the devil to flee (James 4:7)

I John 2:16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Luke 18:9
And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

Luke 18:11-12
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Proverbs 22:4
By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

Psalms 24:4
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Nehemiah 6:9
For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.

Psalms 25:15
Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

He raised Christ from the dead,
And set Him at His own right hand,
With His exceedingly great power, (Eph 1:19-20)
The world was formed by His command

How much more then,
With His mighty power
Can He also raise you up,
When you are stuck  in the mire (Psalms 40:2)

He that oweth much,
Loveth much as well (Luke 7:47)
His eternal power and Godhead
Of it, invisible things tell! (Romans 1:20)

Eph 1:19-20
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Psalms 40:2
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

Luke 7:47
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

The cry of the city is waxen great before the face of the LORD;
He will not strive with them always,
Now it's time for Him to destroy (Gen 19:13)

"Turn in, I pray you,
Into  your servant's house,"
Was Lot's faithful request (Gen 19:2)
The men outside pressed greatly
Could anyone survive this great test?

The angels are convinced,
The city can't be saved,
They tell Lot to pack up
And leave this sinful place.

The world around us is changing,
Yea, it's waxing worse and worse, (2 Tim 3:13)
We must stay spiritually separate , (II Corinthians 6:17)
Lo, least we also get burnt

"Turn in, I pray you,
Into  your servant's house,"
Must also be our cry,
Without His power and rebirth ( Acts 1:8)
We will also die.

He will not strive with us always (Genesis 6:3)
Salvation is at hand, (II Corinthians 6:2)
We must give up our desires daily (I Corinthians 15:31)
And strive to continue to stand! (Ephesians 6:13)

Gen 19:13.  For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

Gen 19:2
And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

2 Tim 3:13
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

II Corinthians 6:17
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

Genesis 6:3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

II Corinthians 6:2
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

I Corinthians 15:31
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

He must increase but I must decrease, (John 3:30)
Striving against sin, (Hebrews 12:4)
Living my life to the will of God,
Not to the lust of men (I Peter 4:2)

Watching and praying always,
That temptations stay away, (Matthew 26:41)
Bringing every thought into captivity, (II Corinthians 10:5)
To the flesh, dying every day (I Corinthians 15:31)

John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.

I Peter 4:1-2
 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

Hebrews 12:4
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

II Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

I Corinthians 15:31
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

The Syrian host came by night,
Dothan surrounded round about,
Warriors, horses and chariots,
Elisha's servant has some doubts,

Alas, my master! How shall we do?
Was his fearful reply
Elisha prays to God
and God opens the young mans eyes

A mountains full of protection,
For Elisha was then seen, (II Kings 6:14-18)
Thank God for His protection
When his people are in need

"Increase our faith"
The apostles told our Lord, (Luke 17:5)
"If ye had faith..." (Luke 17:6)
Began Jesus' words

Faith is the substance of things hoped for,
The evidence of things unseen, (Hebrews 11:1)
The waters wouldn't have parted for Moses, ( Exodus 14:21)
Had he not truly believed, (Hebrews 11:27)

Things seen are not made,
Of the things which do appear, (Hebrews 11:3)
Hope that is seen, is not hope (Romans 8:24)
Serve Him with reverence and godly fear (Hebrews 12:28)

II Kings  6:14-18
Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Luke 17:5
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Luke 17:6
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Hebrews 11:1-3
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Romans 8:24
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Hebrews 12:28
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Exodus 14:21
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

Hebrews 11:27
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible
