Hebrews 4:9-11

9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

An Earthquake!

A sound from the innermost
Part of the prison
Singing, praying, praising God
For the joy He has given

These men have been beat
there feet are fast in the stocks
Their surroundings appear dismal
But God is stronger than the locks

Amidst their offering
And prayers to God
An earthquake quickly comes and
Frees them from their bonds

The greatest thing is yet to come
A life is at stake!
The jailer pulls out his sword
His own life to take

Paul reaches out to him
And tells him they are still there
He asks "What must I do to be saved?"
Paul doesn't hesitate to share!

The answer is in Acts 16:31-34
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

We visited a family in another state. The father of the home was talking to us about the Bible. He mentioned that the Bible warned us about the Internet. Lee and I were both surprised when he took us to a verse neither of us had seen. It used the word "surfeiting" and we asked him what that meant. He said "surfeiting" the Internet. Lee asked him for an unabridged dictionary. Everyone in the home was shocked to see that surfeiting meant "The act of feeding to excess; gluttony. Luke 21." The amazing part was this was an issue the father of the home was truly struggling with.

Luke 21:34

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Surfeiting n. The act of feeding to excess; gluttony.

What would you do

No one has warned him
A youth walking at night
There is an enemy lurking
He won't even fight

She is clothed like a harlot
Stubborn and loud
Her husband is gone earning money
Looking for prey, she is found

She has perfumed her bed
And with an impudent face
She grabs him and kisses him
Oh my, What a disgrace!

She mentions peace offerings
But that is not her way
More like an ox to the slaughter,
Eternal damnation he will pay

Till a dart strike through his liver;
His life is at stake
She wants him to join her
In her misery, he partakes

Proverbs 7

Eph 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
A Godly makeover
Is the dream
Having my feet shod
With the gospel of peace

Wearing as garments
Not those made of cloth
but strength and honor
Ones that cannot be lost

A tongue that professes
Thy holy name
With the law of kindness
And is not ashamed

Ears that are open
To your corrections
And ready to hear
about my imperfections

Give me the shield
Like the men of faith
A robe of righteousness
That Noone can take

A garment of salvation
Unspotted by this world
I want a white robe, Lord
In the city with pearls

Washed in the blood
An incorruptible heart
Renew me O Lord
Speak to my heart

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord,

I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.

He lifted up his holy hands
When the war was going strong
As long as his hands were up
Israel remained strong

But wait, the battle is so long
His hands are getting tired
God put two men at his side
They support him during this fire

He couldn't do it all alone
But then he didn't have to
These brothers were picked just for him
So faithful and so true

When two or more are gathered
In His name
In the midst, he'll be there
He wants to help protect you
From this worlds many cares

Ex.17:11-12
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
