It's time to make an offering
And time to pay a vow
What does the Lord require of you?
What will please the Lord right now?

Maybe offering a bullock
Or maybe a wild beast
He will not drink the blood of goats (Psalm 50)
Or on the flesh of bulls feast

He wants something not everyone will give
They may be too ashamed
He wants the calves of your lips (Hosea 14:2)
Shouting glory to His name

The disciples cried out To Jesus(Luke 19:38)
The children in the temple did too (Matt 21:15)
The Pharisees wanted Jesus to stop them
The devil wants to stop you

A simple to understand reply
Jesus answered quick
Out of the mouths of babes
Praise has been made perfect

David loved to sing
He danced out of his clothes (2 Sam 6:20)
He knew the power and strength
that praise and thanksgiving holds

When Jehoshaphat went to battle (2 Chr 20)
He didn't send the army first
Instead sent singers praising
In God he put his trust

Lifting up of holy hands
As the evening sacrifice (Psalms 141:2)
Moses, Joshua, Ezra, David
They knew this was right

What else can we offer
To the One who made all things
He has the cattle on a thousand hills
Lord of Lords and King of Kings!

When you get to the place
The Lord promised you in this land
You will rejoice in whatever you put your hands to
Whatsoever is right in the eyes of every man (Deut.12)

You will dwell there in safety
No concerns of the enemy
You heart fixed upon the Lord (Psalm 112:7-8)
What can man do unto thee?

You may eat whatever you lust for
Whether it be clean or unclean
It's not what goes into the body,
What comes out of your heart is what God sees (Mark 7:15)

Bring your tithes and all your offerings
We now only have one thing to give
He wants the "calves of your lips" (Hosea 14:2)
Your praise and thanksgiving for the eternal life you will live

Twelve men stood on the border
Gazing at the promise land
They had a job ahead of them
Given from Moses a command

They went all over the land
To spy out the towns
The inhabitants were giants
Fruit was abundantly found

The men gave their report
The Israelites were so afraid
This land seemed impossible
They wished in Egypt they'd have stayed

The wanted to chose another leader
And stone the two that disagreed
Joshua and Caleb believed Gods promise
They weren't about to flee

They knew that God was on their side
He parted the red sea for them
The others had forgotten
And were ready to give in

We are standing at the edge
Of the promise land
Trusting our God is faithful
Obeying his commands

Oh, the promise land!
I want to enter in
There is a place of rest there
To escape from this world's sin
Joshua 1
A couple tribes have found
Their home in the promise land
Their lives are now at peace
A gift straight from God's hand

But Joshua calls them To help fight
With the brothers that haven't entered in
That do not have that place of rest yet
That God promised them

They leave their wives and children
To pick up the sword
When the land has all been conquered
They'll be free to enjoy

All of Gods many blessings
Peace all around
A land that's overflowing
Milk and honey will be found

We must strive to find that same rest (Hebrews 4)
That is offered to us today
We can cease from our own works as God did the seventh day

A place where things in this life
No longer move you
You are safely trusting God's plan
Letting His love guide you through

Three kings go to war
Only one fears the Lord
They all get really thirsty
No water is in store

Jehoshaphat calls out for a prophet
Elisha steps up to bat
Tells the others if it wasn't for the one,
They would not have a chance

God provided lots of water
And it tricked the enemies
They thought it was a pool of blood
They came to look and see (II Kings 3)

Our weapons are not carnal
We aren't fighting flesh and blood
Our enemy is more dangerous
He gets right inside of us

When you are in a battle
Do you call out for the one?
Who can really help you fight?
Who makes the enemy run?

Striking down imaginations
Being ready to revenge
Any disobedience and thought
That exalts itself over Him
II Cor 10:4-6

Traveling over stormy seas
Trying so hard to row
The savior was away praying
On a mountain all alone

The day had been a long one
Tending sheep without a Shepard
He had fed all of them
Even had some left over

But when the disciples were all alone
And caught up in the storm
They forgot all the miracles
That Jesus had performed

Are you now caught up
In one of this life's battles
Don't take your eyes off Jesus
He is the only thing that matters

Mark 6;51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

Gather the people together
A storm is brewing in the heart
The storm is a tornado
One huge storm made up of three parts

All things pushed away
As the storm thunders through
Things that can be shaken
Are destroyed and removed

Behind is left a quiet still
A place of peace and rest
Desiring only God's will and
A heart that endures the tests.
