A tree by the river
With roots
spread out
Not afraid of the heat
Nor of a drought
If the water of
life
Wasn't there for the tree
It would not prosper
Would have no green
in it's leaves
Jesus' words are like the river
That strengthens the
tree
The roots, the foundation
An approved workman needs
Without
searching, you
Won't find,
Break up your fallow ground
Then when the
Lord returns
Watching and praying, you'll be found

Ruth 2:12
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.

Cursing at the king
Throwing stones and dust
He deserves the death penalty!
But King David, he is just!
He tells his men to let him be
Not to touch this man
King David knows a secret
He takes the MERCY stand
"It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day. " says King David
A very different story
A very different man
God calls Jonah to warn Ninevah
And to fulfill his Godly plan
God pours his mercy on Ninevah
Jonah gets angry and wants to die
He doesn't understand the mercy plan
And Then God shows him why
A plant is created
To shade him from the sun
A worm devours the plant
Jonah comes undone
God points out to Jonah
He Wanted mercy for that little plant
A plant he didn't create
Or labor with his hands
On that great city, he wanted no mercy Given to them
A city full of people
Who fasted and did repent
Blessed are the merciful
For they shall obtain mercy
Throwing stones and dust
He deserves the death penalty!
But King David, he is just!
He tells his men to let him be
Not to touch this man
King David knows a secret
He takes the MERCY stand

Isaiah 53
The sins I have committed
The things that I have done
Have fell upon another
On God's only son
He was tempted by the devil
Was strong and endured
He was led as a sheep to the slaughter
A sacrifice clean and pure
Through one man's disobedience
Many are called to sin (Romans 5:9)
the obedience of Jesus to the cross,
keeps the hope of righteous men
He was wounded for our transgressions,
To the cross, he was nailed
He was bruised for our iniquities:
By his stripes we are healed
Seeing as how he suffered
And endured for MY sin
I have to give my all
And devote this life to Him.
Lord, give me the strength
To give up my will
And not to be entangled
In affairs of this life still
Help me to remember
The blood and the wounds
The way that Jesus suffered
And gave Up His life too.
The sins I have committed

Have fell upon another

Isaiah 53
we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 51:6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
9Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old.
