Our 18th wedding anniversary gift from God (2 yrs ago)

I  thought I would share the birth story of our 5th child who was due on February 14, 2011, but arrived two days early on the date of our 18th wedding anniversary.

Two weeks before Lydia was born Jacob (my oldest child) had a dream.  He dreamed he heard a scream from my room and ran in and found it was the baby's scream and Dad had delivered.  I decided to start a journal because I had heard words all night in my sleep that same night that said " I will do a new thing."  I looked it up and those exact words were in Isaiah.

I told the midwife about the dream and the verse and requested info about delivering a child on you own.  Lee (my hubby) didn't wasn't to read it.  He said if God put that on him ( he had no desire to deliver) God would give him everything he needed to know.

Our midwife lived and worked out of Memphis, which is the closest town to us. She lived and worked about 50 minutes away.   We live in an extremely small town in the middle of no where.  I was amazed to find out later that her assistant's (a doula) mom and dad lived about one mile from my home.

My water broke early on Feb 11.  The midwife came and stayed on and off about 16 hours.  I wasn't having labor pains so she decided to give me some time alone and went down the street to the doulas moms house.  I had a snack and took a nap. ( I never had any contractions) I realized that I felt the urge to go to the bathroom and realized I may not make it to the toilet. As I got to the entry of the bathroom, I felt the head come out.  I screamed for Lee who was in the kitchen cooking deer meat.  He had the vent a hood on and didn't hear my first call.  I called again and he came.
He helped me to lay down on the bathroom floor, called the midwife and delivered the child.  ( Without having a chance to wash his hands) The midwife arrived about 4 minutes after the birth and was able to cut the cord and clean up.  We had actually forgot about the dream throughout all the excitement and when the midwife walked in she said, "This is just like your son's dream!"

Let us go out from the camp,
Bearing His reproach,
As the bodies of the sacrifices,
Were burned and turned to smoke

Having seen how Jesus suffered,
Outside  the gate,
To sanctify the people,
An atonement for sin to make

Here we having no continuing city,
Knowing the best is yet to come,
Where the Lamb will be the light,
With no need for the moon or sun

Hebrew 13:11
For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Revelation 21:23
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Purify me, Lord
Purge me as silver and gold,
That I might give an offering of righteousness,
As in the days of old

Let me be as thy jewels
With a great Godly fear
Arise, Sun of righteousness!
I know your healing  is near!

Malachi 3:
3: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

4: Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Mal. 3:17
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Mal. 4:2
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall

What meanest thou, O sleeper?
What have you done?
The boat tossed with a tempest
Because of just one

The sailors all knew
Trouble doesn't befall you for nought
The searched and found Jonah
And the reason they sought

When Paul was bit by a viper
In another time and land
Even the barbarians murmured
And thought judgement was at hand

"You must not be living right"
People used to always say
But now, most have forgotten
Judgement has faded away

If things are going bad
And you think it's just your lot
Consider your life and
Examine your heart.

Proverbs 26:2
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come

Jonah 1:6
So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

Acts 28:4
And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

Psalms 26:2
Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

The woman I desire to be

Chaste conversation coupled with fear (1 Peter 2:3)
Her mouth with wisdom holds the key
To the secret of the greatest commandments (Matt 22:37-39)
Love has made her free (John 8:32)

Her mouth will not allow the enchantments
Of this life below
To occupy that valuable space
For Christ hath made her whole (John 5:6)

The "fighting for her rights,"
The "let your voice be heard"
She has heard the devil's tricks many times, (Gen 3:4-5)
She prefers to be washed in The Word (Eph 5:25-27)

1 Peter 2:3
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Matt 22:37-39
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 5:6
When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

Gen 3:4-5
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Eph 5:25-27
 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Help us Lord

I have been meditating on what older women should be teacher the younger women.  I was browsing another mom's blog and found this New Years resolution her husband made at her request:

"(husband's name) must practice instant obedience. Basically, when I am ask him to do something, he not only does it but right then when I ask! No laziness, no procrastination, no disrespect, and no excuses. Sounds like a dream come true, huh?!"

I was so shocked because this is contrary to what the scriptures teach.  Wives SUBMIT to your husbands.  Never does it tell us to make our husbands obey us.  I guess it is fulfillment of the prophecy written in Isaiah that ....

Isaiah 3:12
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Send help, Lord!

Let thy words be few (Ec 5:2)
Refrain thy lips, O ye wise (Proverbs 10:19)
A fool will utter it all (Proverbs 29:11)
Yet the wise will let a matter lie

The tongue is a world of iniquity (James 3:6)
Who can tame this deadly tool? (James 3:8)
Don't let it cause you to sin, (Ecc 5:6)
Lest you be found a fool.

Lord , put Your Words in my mouth,
(Isaiah 51:16, Jeremiah 1:9)
Cover me in the shadow of Your Mighty  Hand, (Isaiah 51:16)
Let my silence be my wisdom, (Job 13:5)
And having done all, help me to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)

Ec 5:2
Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

James 3:6
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

James 3:8
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Ecc 5:6
Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin

Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ecc 5:3
A fool's voice is known by multitude of words.
