Love Your Enemies

Surrounded by the enemy
They are on every side
A fear creeps into the heart
A need to run and hide

Open your eyes wide and see
the power of the Lord
His Army of angels overwhelming
More than you can score

What happens next?
The tables turned upside down
Your enemy encamped by you
Should you slay them now?

When you have your enemy
captured with the sword
Give them bread and water
Then leave it to the Lord

II Kings 6:13-22

And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.

Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.

And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?

And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.

Jehoram, son of Jehoshaphat

He received the kingship
Would he follow the Lord?
His brothers inherited silver and gold
But he gave them the sword

He had a little problem
His father had introduced
His affinity with wicked Ahab
With the ungodly he had a truce

He married Ahabs daughter
And looked to those around
Built up the idol high places
Fornication was also found

God wouldn't destroy Judah
Because of his promise of a seed
He sent the prophet Elijah
To tell the king what would come to be

You will get a sickness
As well as those who you hold dear
Your bowels will fall out
The kings death is coming near
(2 Chr 21)

Evil communication corrupt good manners
Be not deceived (1 Cor 15:33)
The influence of those around you
Can change your destiny

The people have corrupted themselves
Have turned out of the way
They couldn't wait any longer
They rose up and began to play

Moses  burnt the molten calf,
And into powder ground it up,
Made them drink their transgression,
A most unpleasant cup

Are we stiffnecked and troubled??
Just like those Israelites
Trying to make God's will happen
Picking up our swords to fight (Matthew 26:51)

Wait on The Lord, (Psalms 27:14)
Rest in His perfect will, (Psalms 37:7)
Ye need not fight, (II Chronicles 20:17)
Only trust and be still (Psalms 46:10)

This world will wax worse (1 Tim 3:13)
Before the end, you will see
Put all your hope in The Lord (Psalms 39:7)
Christ has truly made us free! (John 8:32)

Matthew 26:51
And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

Psalms 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 37:7
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

II Chronicles 20:17
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Psalms 37:9
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Psalms 37:34
Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Psalms 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

II Timothy 3:13
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Psalms 39:7
And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Do you watch the news?  Does it profit you anything to know how many little children were murdered today? Can you really alter God's plan for the world?

II Timothy 3:13
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Matthew 24:12
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

I have found that it takes your focus off what God desires and occupies valuable mind space.

Isaiah 33: 15
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Teachings for women

Defraud not your husband
Depriving during a fight
Don't give the silent treatment
Or withholding from him what's right

A saved wife may save her husband
her kindness goes straight to the bone
A woman who fears the Lord
can make his presence known

Not by preaching or nagging
Saying go to church and pray
But rather that she love him
Her actions lead the way

The headship order is a teaching lost in churches of today
There's God, then Christ, man
Then woman, this is God's way

That order is important
It gives a safety net
If man is head of the home
A blessed life will be sent

Women shouldn't rule over men
In or outside of the home
It was even prophesy
The prophet Isaiah showed

Now onto the covering,
Which very few women wear
To cover up your glory
Your heart is free to share

The power of the Angels,
The mystery obscure
Watch covered ladies in public
Then understanding will be sure

Men are often tempted
By women and their dress
When they see a covered woman
Christs love she does profess

And now another teaching
Sara was good at this
To submit unto your husband
This opportunity you shouldn't miss

Treat your husband as the Lord
Then you will clearly know
You wouldn't nag or fuss
If Jesus was in your home

In Ephesians, Paul says it clearly
For all to understand
As the church is subject to Christ
So is the wife subject to her man

In all things, in all things
He added at the end
God planned it from the first
A help meet and a friend

Also, ladies, keep silent
At church, you can
Draw in all your hear
Then at home ask your man

Don't rush him for an answer
Be patient and wait
He'll seek God for a solution
The right way to take

Adorn yourself modestly
A Godly wardrobe put on
With faith and good works
Not the clothes that are sewn

Shamefacedness and sobriety
Learn without speaking
A struggle for most women
Who would rather be teaching

Man was first formed
Then the woman for him
She was the one tricked
She let satan in

Faith, charity, holiness, and sobriety
Are words that describe
A woman who fears the Lord
In her you'll find no pride

Her household arises and calls her blessed
She creates a environment whose centered on God
She seeks out the good things
Though to this world it seems odd

She teaches the younger women
God has placed near,
The lessons she learned
And of God a fear

Love your husband and children
The Bible tells you so
A lesson so easy
When Jesus you know

Have chaste conversation
Coupled with fear
Keep your words clean
Because others will hear

Without amazement is how
You should be
When your husband tells you
Anything

God picked your husband
The man just for you
Made you and he ONE
He 'll show you what to do
