Romans 8: 38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Verses on silence and being quiet

Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Ecclesiastes 3:7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

Amos 5:13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

II Kings 18:36 But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

Acts 8:32
The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

Proverbs 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

I Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Isaiah 7:4 And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

Matthew 26:62-63 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Mark 14:60-62 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? But he held his peace, and answered nothing.

Old Testament Advice for Women Today!

I had a period of time recently when I kept waking up in the night.  I wasn't sure why, but soon the Lord showed me that when I woke up, I should pray.  Here are some OT verses...

Jeremiah 9:17-20
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:
18And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
19For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.
20Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.

Lamentations 2:18
18Their heart cried unto the LORD, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.
19Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

Baptisms!

We thank the Lord that our oldest two children got baptized this afternoon by Lee.  Lee has a great poem on baptism, so I am going to share it!

Water of Life
Before things were formed and void was the earth...
The spirit of the Lord moved upon me, and I water gave birth.... (Gen.1:2)
In the beginning as corruption and violence filled the earth..
God sent me forth in a great flood to baptize the earth... (Gen. 7)
I water was there to save those precious elect eight.....
I was a shadow of things to come, the opening of a new gate....
When God rescued his people from the hand of the Egyptian king...
By the parting of the water they were baptized unto Moses and there hearts began to sing.... (1Cor. 10:2)
They sang a new song of triumph and victory...
They had witnessed there salvation and there lives would never be the same....
I water, am one of the three that bear record in the earth ... ( 1John 5:8)
Take me out of the equation and you will see a great dearth.....
When the time drew nigh for paving the way for The Mighty Savior....
I water and repentance were the recipe for the sweet smelling savor.......( Matt. 3:6)
When you hear some say baptism is symbolic, a public confession at best...
Believe the words of the Lord Jesus to enter into his rest....
They say it's only water, what's all the fuss?
The Bible says: " the like figure whereunto even baptism does also now save us".......( 1 Peter 3:21)
Save your money sending rockets up to the galaxy.........
If I water am not present, no life will be.......
When Philip preached Jesus to the eunuch, his message concluded with me.... (Acts 8:36)
He responded with" see here's water what does hinder thee".....(Acts 8:36)
We know to see the Kingdom, we must be born again...( John 3:3)
Have you ever seen a birth without water? Marvel not my friend..
Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. I Cor 10:33

The king got off his throne
And threw off all his kingly attire
Covered with sackcloth and ashes
His town was sinking in the mire!

A messenger sent from God
Has brought him the warning
Take heed, don't wait
A new day will soon be dawning

The Lord hears the cries
The whole town is on it's knees
He chooses to forgive the town
Wait, the messenger begins to flee

He is not happy
In fact, he even wants to die
Doest thou well to be angry?
Asked God, he wants to know why?

Jonah steps outside the city
His job is now done
The Lord lets a gourd grow
To protect him from the sun

The next day he wakes up
To find a worm devouring
Jonah is angry the plant is dead
His temper is arising

Doest thou well to be angry?
The Lord asks again
You didn't create the plant
It came from God's hand

Jonah didn't labor with it
Yet on it, he had pity,
Should not I, the Lord,
Do the same for Ninevah, that great city?

When you look around you
And are surrounded by those in sin
Does your heart cry out for them (even your enemies????)
For salvation to come in?

The Lord desires for all to be saved. (I Tim 2:4)
His miracles must be made known
Our God showers us with blessings
His seeds, we must sow!

(Daniel 4)

The king had got confident
And was full of pride
God had shown him miracles
That he couldn't deny

He looked around at his kingdom
thought it was by his own hand
God taught him humility
Made him like a beast of the land

He ate the grass
And lived outside
It must have removed
Any trace of pride

But our God had mercy
The king's words were forgiven
He was restored his mind
And soon after, the kingdom

Be clothed with humility,
Our God resists the proud
If your mind starts inflating
A fall may be coming around (Proverbs 16:18)

The Pharisee thought himself
Righteous. (Luke 18:10)
And better than the next guy
God rejected his prayers
His religion was a lie!

Here are some words from Nebuchadnezzar that I enjoyed.....

praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

Is this how your praise sounds?

Matthew 21
And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased,
And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

Luke 19
And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Isaiah 12:6
Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

II Chronicles 20:21
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.
And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

II Samuel 6:14
And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

Ezra 3:11
And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
