Who Rules Over You?

Walking in His statues
His commandments, keep and do
Peace will abound everywhere
Nothing will you be afraid to do

He will be your God
His people you will be
Enemies will run before you
He will make them flee

But if you chose to ignore Him
And make your life your own
Terror will be appointed
Those that hate you, on the throne

Sorrow of heart will surround you
You will sow your seed in vain
All your time working
Won't produce anything

The choice looks real simple
If you desire what He has to give
Living forever in righteousness
This life, just a small moment is...

Lev 26
3.   If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

11 And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

13 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:

16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

Job 5:17
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

Five golden emerods, (1 Sam 6)
and five mice of gold
Put inside a coffer
A little box to hold

Two kine that never bore a yolk
And a new cart made for them
The ark was placed upon it
Then the travels will begin

If it goes up by the coast
To the town of Bethshemesh
We'll know this trouble is from The Lord
If not, chance was what it is

Of course, those Phillistines
Found out on that day
The Lord is in control
He sent the cart the coastal way

Afflictions don't come out of the dust
Nor trouble out of the ground ( Job 5:6)
The heart is desperately wicked (Jer 17:9)
In it your focus should be found

Communing with your heart
While laying in your bed (Psalms 4:4)
Knowing God led the trouble cart
Believe the things he said!

To those he loves, he chastens
Because we are His sons (Heb 12:7)
Leading to the peaceful fruit of righteousness (Hebrews 12:11)
That by man cannot be undone!

Job 5:6
Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

Jer 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Psalms 4:4
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Hebrews 12:7
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Hebrews 12:11
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Job 5:6
affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;

He lifted up his eyes
And beheld the beautiful land
It was well watered with a river
A perfect choice for this man (Gen 13:10)

He chose that land that appeared
So lovely to his eyes
While Abraham took the left overs
In God's will he (Abr) abides

Trusting fully in The Lord
For whatever lot he gives
Is what God's people must do
It is the only way to live

Although men may make choice
And cast their lots to see (Proverbs 16:33
The whole disposing is of The Lord
He is the "Powers that Be" (Romans 13:1)

"Lift up thine eyes unto the hills
From whence cometh thy help" (Psalms 121)
The creator of the universe
And this little planet where we dwell.

Gen 13:10
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

Proverbs 16:33
The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

Romans 13:1
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Psalms 121
A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. 2 Cor 1:12

Are you trusting in the world? (Romans 8:5)
For your every need? (Ephesians 2:2-3)
Do you try to further your stay here
Through all your vain deeds? (I Peter 1:18)

Do you draw near to God with your lips. (Matthew 15:8)
While your heart is far away?
How do you spend your time?
Do you always "watch and pray?"(Mark 13:33)

Like a thief in the night,
Our Lord will return! (II Peter 3:10)
The earth is reserved unto fire
All its works will burn! (II Peter 3:7)

Believe ye His promises! (2 Peter 1:4) (Hebrews 10:36)
His promises are yea, and Amen, (2 Cor 1:20)
Looking for new heavens and a new earth,
Dwelling only righteousness within
(2 Peter 3:13)

Not trusting ourselves,
Or in things others said,
But in Our Dear Lord,
Who raises the dead! (2 Cor 1:9)

Romans 8:5
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:2-3
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

I Peter 1:18
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

2 Peter 2:10
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Matthew 15:8
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me

Mark 13:33
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

II Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

II Peter 3:7
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Hebrews 10:36
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise

2 Cor 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us

2 Peter 3:13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2 Cor 1:9
we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

Consider Your Ways!

(Haggai 1:5-6)
Consider your ways, people of God
Think about this thing
You spend your day sowing a lot
But little in you bring

You eat but don't have enough
Your clothed but never warm
There something missing from your life
This lesson must you learn!

Go up and build a house (Haggai 1:8-9)
Where glorified He will be
Be strong and set to work
On Him your every thought should be

You must seek first the kingdom (Matt 6:31-33)
The rest will be added to you
You've been seeking to do these things
Without His strength, it's true.

Cry out for His mercy, (Exodus 15:13)
Repent from your evil ways (II Kings 17:13)
Let the Spirit if The Lord consume
Every second of your day

Haggai 1:5-6
Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Haggai 1:8-9
Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

Matt 6:31-33
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Exodus 15:13
Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

II Kings 17:13
Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

Things were once so simple
A woman's role was in the home
Nursing up her children in the Word
Until they could stand alone

But the devil pulled out the apple
Woman was tricked once again
Go out, make some money
Your just as good as your man

Or maybe when the right to vote
Came through women's rights
Now she's organizing political parties
And busy days AND nights

Today's church needs the woman too
Or the devil should I say,
She can organize church events
While her children run off and play

No! Not me!
My choice is to embrace and hold
The role God picked just for me
The raising of eternal souls

If you listen to Jesus' words
And consider carefully
By faith, you'll move mountains (Matt 21:21)
into the sea!

Two blind men were calling
Out to Jesus to be healed
His response was very simple
Yet a secret it revealed...

"According to your faith
be it unto you" (Matt 9:29)
Jesus touched their blinded eyes
And they were healed anew

"Wilt thou be made whole?" (John 5:6)
Said Jesus to the impotent man
Take up your bed and walk
Was part of the healing command

"Be it unto thee
even as thou wilt" (Matthew 15:28)
He told the woman with a devil
The next moment, she was healed

Abel obtained witness that he was righteous
Through his sacrifice
And By faith Enoch was translated
He saw not death in all of this life

The substance of things hoped for
That is what faith really means
The elders gained their good report
Through things that were unseen (Hebrews 11)

Lord, increase my faith and (Luke 5:17)
Help me strengthen those around me (Luke 22:32)
I want to trust completely
And dwell with righteousness abounding!
