Prove thy servants, I beseech thee
For ten days , let us feed
On pulse,
instead of meat
And water, let us drink
Daniel and the Hebrew
servants,
Stood out different from the rest
They didn't want the
luxuries
Their countenances were the test
After 10 days of the
basics
While the others had enjoyed the feasts,
The Hebrews' were fairer
and fatter
They weren't skinny in the least (Daniel 1)
They were able
to withhold
From the pleasures they could see (Hebrews 11:26)
They wanted
better things
Holy they would be! (I Peter 1:16)
They found their
strength in God (Hosea 12:3)
And endured the test of time (Matt 24:13)
In
the midst of a strange kingdom (Hebrews 11:13)
Through the fire and amongst
the lions (Hebrews 11:33-34)
(Hebrews 11:26) (Moses)
Esteeming the
reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had
respect unto the recompense of the reward.
I Peter 1:16
Because it is
written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Hosea 12:3
((Jacob) He took his
brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
Matt 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be
saved.
Hebrews 11:13
These all died in faith, not having received the
promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and
embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the
earth.
Hebrews 11:33-34
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought
righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the
violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made
strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
