Take heed to thyself
When you are in a strange land
Don't make friends with the inhabitants
Lest it become a snare (Ex 34)

You are called to be strangers
And pilgrims on earth (Heb 11:13)
You mustn't bow down
Or partake in their mirth

Don't take their daughters for wives
Nor learn of their ways
Their molten image is falsehood (Jer 10:14-15)
That will perish in a day

Prepare a habitation (Psalms 107:36-37)
For The Lord to come in
Sow seeds and plant vineyards
Keep the weeds out ( of sin)

Man doesn't have the strength
To do it alone ( Jer 10:23)
The spirit of God
Must come into his home

Cry out for his mercy (Psalms 27:7)
Offer the sacrifice of praise (Heb 13:15)
Spend time in His Word. (I Tim 4:16)
Your life He will save! (Mark 8:35)

Heb 11:13
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Jer 10:14-15
Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

Psalms 107:36-37
And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

Jer 10:23
O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
Psalms 27:7
Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
Heb 13:15
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
I Tim 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Mark 8:35
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
